When Courtney White’s dad was diagnosed with cancer the love for her family came pouring in…along with the meals. During his illness and after he passed friends and family kept feeding them. It was so comforting to have food they liked brought right to them, particularly during long days at the hospital for treatment, that it inspired Courtney to start Culinary Care. Culinary Care delivers free, healthy restaurant meals to cancer patients at the hospital on days when they have treatments. When the hospital partners she works with were becoming overwhelmed due to Covid-19, Courtney expanded efforts to fill the plates of frontline healthcare workers too.
