“I realized my sewing skills
could help.”
On March 22, our People and Culture colleague, Kathleen Thomas posted an offer on Facebook. She said she would make masks at no charge for anyone in her community that needed them. Since then, she has been working by day and sewing every night. Her husband Ken and daughter Bella have joined in to help and, together, they have created more than 1,100 masks to date at her kitchen table. That is nearly 140 yards of fabric, 500 yards of elastic, 30 spools of thread, 2 packs of needles, and other various supplies. She has donated most of the masks to her local community, but has also shipped to 10 other states. We are so grateful for Kate’s efforts!
