Grant Thornton’s Doreen Griffith named to D CEO’s “Dallas 500” for third consecutive year

DALLAS — Grant Thornton, one of America’s largest brands of professionals providing end-to-end audit, assurance, tax and advisory services, has a new award winner in Dallas. Doreen Griffith, the firm’s managing principal for the Dallas market, has been named to D CEO’s “Dallas 500” for the third year in a row. D CEO, the award-winning business title from D Magazine Partners, releases the list annually to recognize the city’s most influential leaders.

“I’m grateful to D CEO for spotlighting Doreen three years in a row, and I’m especially grateful to work by her side as we bring our firm’s highly-personalized approach to the Dallas market,” said Nichole Jordan, the managing principal of Grant Thornton’s Texoma region. “Doreen is known throughout our firm and the Dallas community as a personable, experienced and wildly intelligent leader with a talent for team-building, and her skills help us provide truly distinctive services to all our clients in Dallas.”

Griffith has served Grant Thornton in a variety of leadership roles over the last two decades, including successful stints as Grant Thornton’s managing partner in California and as the firm’s Financial Services Tax leader. Her experience at the helm of several national teams — as well as her time on the firm’s Partnership Board — has helped her develop vast knowledge of clients’ audit, assurance, tax and advisory needs. She uses this knowledge to build high-performing teams, and, in her current role, she helps Grant Thornton’s roughly 500 Dallas professionals bring the full strength of the firm to every client.

Outside of work, Griffith is a board member for the Dallas Regional Chamber (DRC) and a member of the chamber’s Workforce and Education committee, as well as the chamber’s Executive Women’s Roundtable. In 2022, she was the chairwoman for the American Heart Association’s “Go Red for Women” campaign: an initiative that brought in nearly $2 million to help end women’s heart disease and stroke. Thanks in part to these contributions, she was recently named a finalist for the DRC’s ATHENA Leadership award: an accolade that recognizes women who excel in their careers, contribute to their communities and develop fellow women leaders.

Griffith is most proud of the honors she and her office win together, including recent recognition as a “Leader in Diversity” and a “Best Place for Working Parents.”

“Our Dallas team gets to know our clients on a deep level, and when you combine our attention to detail with the care we show each other on a regular basis, you have a recipe for long-term success,” Griffith said. “I’m humbled by this kind recognition from D CEO, and I’m incredibly fortunate to work alongside the most talented and dedicated people in professional services.”

Griffith earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Louisiana Tech University and is a certified public accountant in Texas.
