Scott McGurl

Scott McGurl is the global head of Healthcare Industry and a Business Consulting Principal based in the Tampa office. In his leadership role, he oversees the growth and operations of the firm’s Healthcare industry practices, which encompasses a full range of audit, tax and advisory services.

Scott brings a wealth of experience from architecture of hundreds of cross-disciplinary engagements, building and leading delivery networks driving cross-sector innovation and growth.

Scott has worked in the healthcare and life sciences industries, asset management and management consulting environments supporting clients define and achieve their growth objectives, both organically and inorganically. He has served as a trusted business advisor to executive leadership and all organizational levels to envision, design, and build sustainable capabilities, and execute transformational global programs.

His area of practice is facilitating definition of the firm’s clients’ strategic growth agendas and execution of transformational roadmaps to achieve outcomes that increase operating margin, access to care, and workforce effectiveness.

Prior to Grant Thornton, Scott served as the U.S. corporate development leader at a Fortune 50 diversified manufacturer serving healthcare, industrial and energy customers; general manager for one of its global business units delivering integrated solutions with an emphasis on clinical environments; global advisory partner for a leading healthcare supplier; and led an investment strategy for the asset management arm of a global advisory firm.
