Executive summary



Rick is a principal in our M&A Tax Services practice in Dallas and serves clients nationally on transaction related tax matters.

 

Rick assists clients primarily with tax consulting in the area of mergers and acquisitions and post-transaction tax matters. Rick’s areas of focus include buy-side and sell-side tax due diligence, tax structure consulting, and tax modeling for clients that are contemplating potential sales or purchases, cross-border transaction matters, capital restructuring, and IRC Section 382 considerations.

 

In addition to live transaction matters, Rick assists clients with legal entity planning and rationalization and documentation of technical matters. Rick has experience with complex tax compliance matters for consolidated corporate groups, including documenting technical acquisition matters and consolidated tax attribute reporting.

 

Rick has served a variety of industries and clients, including those in the private equity, healthcare, professional services, financial services, retail, transportation, logistics, manufacturing, real estate, technology, and energy industries.
