Event description
For gaming compliance and risk leaders, the bar for an effective AML program is rising. FinCEN’s proposed AML/CFT reforms, recent enforcement actions and heightened regulatory scrutiny are shifting attention from whether an AML program has all the required components to whether those components work effectively in practice — and whether leaders can clearly explain how they identify, assess and respond to higher-risk activity.
This webcast will examine what that shift means for land-based casino and resort operators, online casino gaming and sports wagering. The discussion will address governance, customer due diligence, source-of-funds reviews and transaction monitoring, including where AML risks and controls differ between physical and digital gaming environments. Attendees will gain a practical framework for assessing how well their current programs are positioned for regulatory examination and for identifying areas that deserve attention as AML requirements and supervisory expectations develop.
