Undo with Confidence: Leveraging the New Reverse Ship Confirmation Functionality in JDE

Abstract

For years, JD Edwards users faced a frustrating reality: once a shipment was confirmed, there was no clean way to undo it. Operations teams routinely resorted to negative order lines, manual credit memos, or RMA workarounds to correct simple mistakes—introducing data integrity risks, accounting headaches, and inefficiencies across the supply chain. But now Oracle has finally answered this long-standing customer request by delivering native Reverse Ship Confirmation functionality for sales order processing.

This session will provide attendees with a comprehensive look at how the new program reverts ship-confirmed sales order lines to their pre-shipped state, automatically restores inventory to the correct warehouse and bin, resets soft and hard commitments, clears ship dates, and rolls order activity rules back to a defined reversion status.

In this session, we will discuss the necessary setup to enable this new functionality. Attendees will learn the eligibility rules, how the P4205R leverages the same processing options as the original P4205 to ensure transactional consistency, and the configuration steps required for order activity rules to enable the reversion status.

As well, we will discuss some real-world use cases - erroneous confirmations, last-minute cancellations at the dock, equipment failures, and customer change requests - and demonstrate the end-to-end Reverse Ship Confirm flow in JDE. We will also cover practical adoption considerations, including security setup, audit/accounting impacts, integration touchpoints with Transportation and Warehouse Management, and how this enhancement complements other Release 26 Sales Order Management improvements such as smarter credit hold releases and zero commission processing.

From Spreadsheets to System of Record: Implementing JDE EnterpriseOne Cash Forecasting for Daily Treasury Visibility 

Abstract

Most JD Edwards customers manage cash forecasting in disconnected spreadsheets pulling AR aging, AP aging, and GL balances by hand, reconciling against bank balances, and emailing static workbooks to Treasury. The result is stale numbers, no audit trail, and limited visibility into daily, weekly, or rolling cash positions.  JDE already ships with a powerful, fully integrated Cash Forecasting capability inside General Accounting that pulls live data from the AR Ledger, AP Ledger and GL Detail into a Cash Forecast Data table without redundant data entry.

This session walks through a real-world implementation of the JDE Cash Forecasting module and shows how Treasury and Finance teams gain a daily, defensible view of cash positions directly inside their ERP.

Attendees will learn how to configure cash type codes and rules to map AR invoices, AP vouchers, and GL bank balances into Opening Balances, Incoming Cash, Outgoing Cash, Net Operating, and Total Cash Forecast.  Learn how to build a cash forecast structure to mirror Treasury's reporting expectations that can be refreshed by based-on dates and future-day horizons for daily, 30-day, and 90-day rolling forecasts and visualize insights using the Cash Forecast Analysis application or report for daily review.Walk away with a working blueprint to replace spreadsheet-driven cash forecasting with a governed, automated, JDE-native solution.
