Statement from Grant Thornton Advisors LLC

After nearly 30 years with Grant Thornton, and with the firm well positioned for sustained success, Seth Siegel has chosen to step down as CEO of Grant Thornton Advisors LLC and transition to a senior advisor role. Under Siegel’s leadership, Grant Thornton executed transformational initiatives with an unparalleled focus on people and quality. Grant Thornton deeply thanks Siegel for his pioneering leadership and tireless dedication to the firm. We wish him all the best as he pursues other ambitions, focuses on his health and spends more quality time with his family.

Jim Peko, current chief operating officer of Grant Thornton Advisors LLC, has been appointed its CEO. Peko is a long-tenured principal at the firm and a skilled leader who has been at the forefront of Grant Thornton’s transformational investments in its core business segments, while also helping drive its recent transactions, and its ongoing commitment to people, culture and quality. Grant Thornton looks forward to advancing its business strategy for the benefit of team members and clients.

According to Peko: “I thank Seth for all he has done to help transform Grant Thornton so adeptly for the future. He has been a colleague, mentor and friend to so many of us, and a tireless advocate for the firm’s best interests. As CEO, my priorities will focus on accelerating our current business strategy and solidifying our standing in the marketplace as a unique global platform, driven by quality, culture and differentiated capabilities. We will continue to be the employer of choice for the industry and always capitalize on compelling opportunities before us as we drive meaningful growth.”

According to Siegel: “With Grant Thornton poised for strong continued growth, I have made the decision that now is the right time for me to step down as CEO of Grant Thornton Advisors LLC and transition to a senior advisor role. Jim and I have worked closely together for many years, and he is the right leader for this new chapter — one who knows Grant Thornton well and has been integral to our many recent accomplishments and our quality-focused delivery. I have called Grant Thornton home for almost three decades and am proud to have been part of this amazing team and organization, which has solidified its standing as the destination of choice for clients and talent alike.”
