Nola has significant experience with complex multinational organizations, working with both public and private corporate clients. She primarily serves clients operating in the manufacturing, technology and telecommunications, retail and consumer products, and life sciences industries.
Nola is passionate about helping her clients' businesses succeed. She provides tax planning advice to senior executives and helps them to develop and implement appropriate tax savings strategies, directs efforts to identify emerging tax issues and their potential impact on the corporation, oversees their income tax reporting requirements, and supervises their tax accounting processes thereby reducing overall financial statement risk to the organization.
She has extensive knowledge of accounting for income taxes under ASC 740 (formerly known as FAS 109) and accordingly is a Tax Accounting and Audit Quality leader for the East Region of the firm. In this role, Nola provides tax accounting and financial reporting technical support for complex tax matters to engagement teams across the East Region.
Being a regularly scheduled feature speaker on Grant Thornton's Tax Accounting Quarterly Update national webcasts, she keeps her clients abreast of the many U. S. and global tax legislation changes. Nola is also a published author, recently completing an update to Bloomberg Tax’s Portfolio 5002-3rd: Accounting for Income Taxes.
