In our comment letter submitted in response to the PCAOB’s proposed 2022-2026 Strategic Plan, we commend the Board for issuing the draft plan for public comment and for its outreach efforts with many stakeholders while the plan was being developed. We further include specific recommendations designed to clarify and enhance the four specific goals outlined in the plan:
- To modernize standards
- To enhance inspections
- To strengthen enforcement
- To improve organizational effectiveness
